Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Creating collage art out of overlooked pieces of paper, found objects, or book parts is an opportunity to give new life to items that might otherwise be thrown out. I also try to incorporate my photographs to add another dimension. My process is thoughtful, deliberate, and intuitive. I try to allow time for playing with the placement of these items so I can enjoy the process. Ultimately the art has to speak to me and usually when that happens... it's done.
